Notes from PID Control - A brief introduction
Open Loop commanding
- Drive a robot to a point.
- Robot drives at constant speed
- Calculate the distance to the point and drive time X at speed Y to get there.
There’s an error signal if there’s problems with the robot wheels
Mesure the error - the distance to the goal and then adjust travel to reach goal.
PID Controller - is used in most industrial applications.
Proportional Integral Derivate
Describes how the error term is handled.
You can select form the PID list
- P - proportional controller only
- I - integral controller only
- D - Derivate Controller only
- PD - Porportional and Derivate
