This is actually a review of the first three books in the Bob-verse series as I read all thread over the course of about two months

The Bob-i-verse is a nice piece of nerd fantasy and I found it enjoyable to read.

What I enjoyed about the books was the fantasy of it. If you are looking for deeply technical ScyFy I don’t think the Bob-i-verse is for you, however if you want to play some fun pretend for a while I recommend the books.

I think the first book is worth reading for most. Its just a fun setup. You may find that the story takes twists and turns you don’t like after the setup, but its still worth enjoying something that I think is a fairly fun beginning.

I think there’s a very interesting and probably fairly dark alternative book that struggles more the meanings of conciousness and what it means to be human or machine or something else. But that is not this book.

For me the best part of the books is when Bob first clones himself and has to struggle with aspects of his own identity.

The worst part of the books was probably one of the Bob’s political insurrection on the water world. I found that part of the story pretty dull.
